Boomin Reunion Band Rendition of 'Midnight Special' Has an Interesting Back Story
When the Midnight Special TV series was on the air, it was Johnny Rivers who sang the show's opening.
Years later, when they decided to bring back Midnight Special as a syndicated TV show, they encountered difficulty with Rivers in using the open. The result was that Dante became as well known for the Midnight Special song among his fans and he then recorded his version.
